RESPONSIBILITY & GUARANTEE OF SUPPLIER/SELLER LIABILITY FOR DEFECTS

The producer of every product you purchase is responsible for any damage caused by a defect in their product. Any agreement that limits or exempts the producer from their liability is invalid. Claims against the producer for damages are time-barred three years after the injured party became or should have become aware of the damage, the defect, and the identity of the producer. Ten years after the product’s release, the rights of the injured party against the producer are extinguished. The guarantee must include, in plain, legible, and understandable language in Greek, at least the name and address of the guarantor, the product covered by the guarantee, its precise content, duration, and territorial scope. The guarantee must comply with the principles of good faith and must not be invalidated by excessive exclusion clauses. The guarantee’s duration must be reasonable, considering the product’s expected lifespan. The product’s expected lifespan is the reasonably anticipated time it can be used as intended until wear from regular use renders it unusable or economically impractical to continue using it. If a defect appears during the guarantee period and the Supplier refuses or delays its rectification beyond the necessary time, the consumer is entitled to request the product’s replacement with a new one of the same characteristics and quality or, if rectification is impossible, to withdraw from the contract. If the required repair time exceeds fifteen (15) working days, the consumer is entitled to request a temporary replacement product during the repair period. The Supplier’s failure to meet their obligations does not affect the validity of the guarantee, which the consumer can invoke and require the Supplier to honor. In the event of product or part replacement, the guarantee is automatically renewed for its full duration regarding the new product.

Beyond and outside the guarantee, the Supplier of new durable consumer goods must ensure the continuous provision of maintenance/repair services for a period equal to their expected lifespan. Additionally, the Supplier must ensure consumers can procure the spare parts and other products necessary for their intended use throughout their expected lifespan.

In accordance with the above provisions, Glow Era, if it acts as the Supplier of a product as defined above, will provide you with every possible assistance to fulfill the Supplier’s warranty terms at no additional charge. This is independent of any out-of-warranty services we may offer with applicable charges.

Glow Era has all obligations to you as outlined in the Civil Code regarding the seller. In the event of a defect in the product sold to you that existed before delivery, you may:
(a) Request repair at no cost to you or replacement with another unless this is impossible or involves disproportionate costs.
(b) Request a price reduction.
(c) Withdraw from the contract unless the defect is minor.

These obligations do not apply if the defect was caused by you or due to force majeure in a narrow or broad sense. In all cases, products must be accompanied by the necessary documentation and proof of receipt. These obligations are time-barred within two years. Please pay special attention to the Supplier’s guarantee terms and other accompanying documents, especially those regarding the safe use and maintenance of the products.

In some island destinations and areas designated as “remote” by courier networks, deliveries are typically made within 1-3 business days (or 2-5 business days for particularly remote areas).

Shipping charges depend on the combination of size and weight (volumetric weight calculation according to the International Air Transport Association – IATA). If the volumetric weight exceeds the actual weight, the charge is based on the volumetric weight, calculated by multiplying the parcel’s three dimensions (length x width x height) and dividing the result by 5000. Orders exceeding 3 kg for Greece and 2 kg for Cyprus incur additional shipping costs. You will be notified via email about these costs before shipment.
